The Sailors saw the tides refund their sinking ship in a lifeline due to a mistake by the Sanfrecce Hiroshima faithful in the first leg.

After the Hiroshima outfit's 6-1 demolition of Lion City Sailors, the away side has now been given a 3-0 win after an ineligible player was fielded in the game.

Valere Germain, the ex-Monaco talisman was banned from the competition but took part scoring in the 74th minute putting one of the final nails in the coffin.

A three-game suspension was on Germain's name still lingering from last March - it remained forgotten by Sanfrecce Hiroshima officials and the player went on during the game - with almost instant impact.

This turns the next leg on it's head for Hiroshima - will they be able to produce another high scoring result to turn the tides, once again, in their favor?
